There are some great resources on the internet. Instead of compiling our own we wanted to highlight some of the useful glossaries that can be found on the web.

The Tate glossary was designed to explain and illuminate some art terms used by the collection. It contains the definitions for 300 art terms including artist groups and art movements, techniques, media and other art jargon. Click here to visit it, it is currently available from their archive but will be back on tate.org.uk in the near future.
